ITU Launches Digital World Awards online this December

The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in this December is giving up an award to deserving Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The ITU Awards are open to any SME or startup with an innovative
ICT-based solution with social impact in one of four categories:
Connectivity, Smart cities, smart living, E-health and Digital finance.
A dispatch from the ITU to the Liberia Telecommunications Authority
revealed the innovative ideas, solutions and products of talented tech
SMEs and startups are more important than ever. ITU recognizes this
vital contribution, and the importance of supporting them to help stay
resilient and keep creating.
The ITU believes in these times of global crisis, it is increasingly
clear just how much we depend on digital technologies.” We need creative
digital solutions to combat COVID-19, connect the unconnected and allow
us all to communicate and access work, healthcare, education or
entertainment. This is why we are taking our acclaimed ITU Digital World
Awards online this December”, the ITU dispatch concluded.
